Startup Space: 2024 Community Research

I’m excited to launch our latest Community Manager Snapshot: Startup Space for 2024 🎉

Part of our sector specific research series, this Snapshot was first conducted in 2023 to better understand the nuances of community building and management in the startup landscape across Australia and New Zealand compared to other sectors.

This project is a joint initiative of Australian Community Managers and The Community Collective, supporting community builders in the Australian and New Zealand startup space.

It examines realities unique to community builders in the startup space and compares those shared by community professionals working in other areas (captured in our national State of Community Management annual benchmarking reports). T

Our sector specific snapshots offer invaluable insights into areas of specialisation for community managers, those looking to hire community talent in a specific industry, and the unique challenges and opportunities of community building in different spaces.

Inside you’ll find lots of rich data, including:

👉 Average salaries and benefits

👉 Common responsibilities and skillsets in the CM startup space

👉 Challenges faced by startup community managers

👉 Job titles and the role of AI
